*Note that the Institute is open only to Fellows who have been accepted to the program, alumni, and board members.
Mix and mingle with New Leaders Council (NLC) alumni and prospective fellows as you learn about the six-month NLC Institute Fellowship, the application process, and benefits of being a fellow. We'll provide light refreshments and training for you to become a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDR) in Travis County. Please arrive at 5:30 PM. VDR training will begin promptly at 6 PM, at which time Matt Flores -- from the Travis County Tax Office -- will walk you through a 1-hour training and certification process granting you official authority to register citizens to vote. About NLC: New Leaders Council (NLC) is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit that works to recruit, train and promote the progressive political entrepreneurs of tomorrow — trendsetters, elected officials and civically-engaged leaders in business and industry who will shape the future landscape. NLC recruits from outside traditional power structures and equips millennials with the skills necessary to be civic leaders in their communities and workplaces.
